The submissions were made in response to the COP/MOP's invitation to parties, intergovernmental organizations and admitted observer organizations to submit their views on the revision of the JI guidelines.
Eight submissions have been received by the Secretariat, with five submissions from parties, one from an intergovernmental organization, and two submissions from non-governmental organizations.
30 July 2012: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the submissions from parties, intergovernmental organizations and admitted observer organizations containing their views on the revision of the joint implementation (JI) guidelines (FCCC/KP/CMP/2012/MISC.1).
The submissions were made in response to the invitation by the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP), to parties, intergovernmental organizations and admitted observer organizations to submit their views on the revision of the JI guidelines, taking account of their experience of implementing the Kyoto Protocol mechanisms and the recommendations on options for building on the JI approach.
Eight submissions have been received by the Secretariat, with five submissions from the following parties: Denmark and the European Commission on behalf of the EU and its member States, Gambia on behalf of the least developed countries (LDCs), New Zealand, Nauru on behalf of the Alliance of Small Island States (AOSIS), and Ukraine. One submission has been received from an intergovernmental organization, namely the World Bank. Two submissions have been received from non-governmental organizations (NGOs): the Climate Action Network (CAN) International; and the International Emissions Trading Association (IETA) and Project Developer Forum.
