1 November 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the annual report on the technical review of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and other information reported by Annex I parties to the Convention that are also Kyoto Protocol parties, under Protocol Article 7.1 (reporting of supplementary information) (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/INF.16).

The report provides information on: the status of submission and review of the annual information required under Protocol Article 7.1, including the GHG inventories; and the status of submission of the review reports to the Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP) and the Compliance Committee in 2011.

It also provides information on: the selection of experts and lead reviewers and their participation in the review process; recommendations from the lead reviewers on how to improve this process; and information regarding the submissions made in accordance with decision 15/CMP.1 on Article 3.14 (adverse effects of response measures), and information submitted in accordance with decision 14/CP.7 (impact of single projects on emissions in the commitment period). The Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA) will be invited to take note of the information contained in this document at its 35th session in Durban, South Africa.
