Aichi Targets Newsletter Focuses on Updated NBSAPs, Capacity-Building Workshops

Published by the Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), the November issue of the Aichi Targets Newsletter includes several articles on regional and national processes for the revision of National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans (NBSAPs), among other topics.

The newsletter contains articles on progress achieved with regard to implementation of the Strategic Plan 2011-2020 and its Aichi Targets by Goshi Hosono, Minister of Environment of Japan, and Ahmed Djoghlaf, CBD Executive Secretary. Other articles focus on capacity-building workshops for the revision of NBSAPs, progress regarding NBSAPs at the national level, workshops on REDD+, the Sustainable Ocean Initiative as a capacity development platform in support of achieving the Aichi Targets on marine and coastal biodiversity, and updates with regard to the Nagoya Protocol on access and benefit-sharing and the Nagoya-Kuala Lumpur Supplementary Protocol on liability and redress [Publication: Aichi Targets Newsletter, Volume 1, Issue 2]
