The conference, sponsored by UNESCO and the University of Jordan, will focus on watershed management systems; modeling of surface and groundwater; artificial groundwater recharge; water harvesting; water assessment and monitoring; integrated water resources management in arid regions; water and ecosystems; policy and legislation; traditional practices and knowledge of water management; and public awareness and capacity building.
