This meeting will convene under the theme “An Examination of the Barriers and Possible Solutions for Bringing New Public Health Pesticide Products to Market in Developing Countries.” It is organized by the Secretariat of the Stockholm Convention, in collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health, CropLife International, the US Environmental Protection Agency and the World Health Organization. The objectives of the workshop are to identify obstacles that exist for the registration of new active ingredients and new products and propose actions to suitably address them; and to identify the requirements for review of new pesticides and the opportunities that are available for work-sharing and joint review and assessment.
