This international conference is organized by the German Presidency of the EU together with the European Commission. The conference will seek to promote a dialogue on the added value of an integrated maritime policy, identify new potential for sustainable development in the maritime sector and review the preliminary results of the ongoing process of consultation. The contributions and conclusions of the conference will inform the future activities of the Commission and the Portuguese Council Presidency in the second half of 2007.
