The World Heritage Committee has inscribed several new water-related sites on its World Heritage List.

During its 30th session, held in Vilnius, Lithuania, from 8-16 July 2006, the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization’s World Heritage Committee inscribed on the list several water related sites, including the aflaj irrigation system in Oman, the Old Town of Regensburg with Stadtamhof in Germany, and the Vizcaya Bridge in Spain.
