The World Bank’s Water Week 2007 took place from 27 February – 2 March 2007 at World Bank headquarters in Washington DC, US, under the theme “Water Futures: Sustainability and Growth.” This annual event brought together the Bank water community and invited external stakeholder to explore the challenges and options for good water management and improved water services.

Participants focused on sanitation, health and environment, access to water, better governance, adapting to variability, and complex and innovative approaches. The Week also provided an opportunity for members of the UN-Water task force on Integrated Water Resources Management monitoring and reporting to meet with donors and partners.
