A workshop in Comacchio, Italy has focused on the role played by the Ramsar Convention on wetlands in reducing biodiversity loss; and on specific aspects related to biodiversity concerns in the Italian context.
The workshop, entitled “Biodiversity is Life, Countdown 2010: Biodiversity Protection in Wetlands,” took place on 29 April 2006, and was organized by the Parco del Po, in association with Europarc Federation, the Italian Federation of Parks and Nature Reserves, and the “Delta chiama Delta” association.
