WHALING COMMISSION MEETING OPENS IN ANCHORAGE

The Commission’s sub-groups will meet from 22-24 May, with 25 May set aside for finalizing reports. The following committees and sub-groups will convene: the Working Group on Whale Killing Methods and Associated Welfare Issues; the Conservation Committee; the Infractions Sub-committee; the Aboriginal Subsistence Whaling Sub-committee; the Budgetary Sub-committee; and Finance and Administration Committee. The Annual Commission Meeting will take place from 28-31 May 2007.
