The Conference on Integrated River Basin Management under the Water Framework Directive 2010 took place in Lille, France, from 26-28 April 2010. Participants focused on aspects of integration, examining the way cross-sectoral and multidisciplinary cooperation has developed, and how emerging issues such as adaptation to climate change will be considered in the future. Over 100 scientists evaluated and predicted the impact of climate change on the availability and quality of water, as well as the socioeconomic consequences in the Mediterranean coastal areas of Spain.
