6 May 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has received 17 submissions (FCCC/KP/AWG/MISC.8) on further views and proposals on amendments to the Kyoto Protocol pursuant to Article 3.9 and a text on other issues outlined in the report on its resumed sixth session.

The compilation of proposals will be examined by the Ad Hoc Working Group on Further Commitments for Annex I Parties under the Kyoto Protocol at its eighth session (AWG-KP 8), scheduled to take place from 1-12 June 2009, in Bonn, Germany. The submissions were received from: Argentina; Australia; a joint submission from Australia, Belarus, Canada, the European Community and its member States, Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, Norway, Russian Federation, Switzerland and Ukraine; Bangladesh; Belarus; Bolivia; Brazil; China; Colombia; the Czech Republic on behalf of the European Community and its member States; Iceland; India; Japan; New Zealand; Saudi Arabia; South Africa; and Zambia.
