UNFCCC5 November 2009: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published a note (FCCC/SBI/2009/INF.9) that provides information on the status of submissions and review of fourth national communications, and of reports demonstrating progress under the Kyoto Protocol, from Annex I parties.
This report will be considered by the 31st session of the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI), which will take place from 7-18 December 2009, in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The UNFCCC has also published a note (FCCC/SBI/2009/INF.8) by the Secretariat on the status of submissions of the initial reports under the Kyoto Protocol pursuant to decision 13/CMP.1 and the status of reviews of these reports undertaken during 2007, 2008 and 2009. The document also describes the status of submissions, on a voluntary basis, of the annual information required under Article 7, paragraph 1, and the status of reviews of this information in conjunction with the review of the greenhouse gas inventories in 2009. It provides information on: the application of the review procedures under Article 8 of the Kyoto Protocol; the training programme under the Kyoto Protocol and its activities; and the participation of experts in the review process.
