17 October 2008: The UNFCCC Secretariat has launched a photo
contest aimed at raising awareness of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM).
The contest invites digital photos of CDM projects that reflect the theme of
the contest, “CDM changing lives.”

The
photos are required to be of, or connected with, the functioning of registered
CDM projects, and must be uploaded by project participants or their agents, on
behalf of the photographers. The Secretariat will begin accepting entries on 1
November 2008 through an upload facility accessed from the main page of the CDM
website. The deadline for submissions is 20 November 2008. The winning works
will be displayed at the Climate Conference in Poznan, Poland, in December
2008, and will also be used in print and promotional material as well as on the
UNFCCC website. [Contest
