UNFCCC Releases Public Inputs on Methodology for Lighting with LED Systems

30 June 2010: At its 54th meeting, the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) agreed to open a call for public inputs on the specific aspects of a methodology framework for estimating greenhouse gas (GHG) reductions from replacing fuel-based lighting with LED Systems.

The call for public comments was open from 28 May-25 June 2010, and the results of that call are now available. Submissions were received from: Orbeo Germany GmbH; Philips Lighting; the International Emission Trading Association (IETA); and the World Bank Group. The inputs will be considered by the CDM small-scale working group at its 27th meeting, which will take place from 16-19 August 2010. [Results of the Call for Inputs]
