UNFCCC Publishes Technical Review of Annex I Parties GHG Inventories

The report describes activities relating to greenhouse gas (GHG) inventory reviews conducted during the period November 2010 to October 2011, and to activities planned for 2012.

It also provides information on training activities under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol, and will be considered by the 35th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), to take place in Durban, South Africa.

27 October 2011: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the annual report (FCCC/SBSTA/2011/INF.13) on the technical review of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories from Annex I Parties. This report describes activities relating to GHG inventory reviews conducted during the period November 2010 to October 2011, and to activities planned for 2012.

The report also provides information on: training activities under the Convention and the Kyoto Protocol; the meeting of inventory lead reviewers; and progress made in updating the roster of experts and in the maintenance and development of the GHG information system, including common reporting format (CRF) Reporter. The report will be considered by the 35th session of the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technological Advice (SBSTA), to take place in Durban, South Africa, from 28 November – 3 December 2011.
