30 October 2013: The UNFCCC Secretariat has released documents for consideration by the Subsidiary Body for Scientific and Technologic Advice (SBSTA) during its upcoming 39th session in Warsaw, Poland.

The annual report on the technical review of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories from Annex I Parties (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/INF.8) describes activities relating to GHG inventory reviews conducted between November 2012 and September 2013, as well as to activities planned for 2014. The annual report on the technical review of GHG inventories and other information reported by Annex I parties that are also parties to the Kyoto Protocol under its Article 7.1 (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/INF.9) outlines the status of submission and provides information on the review of the annual information required under Protocol Article 7.1.

The ‘Report on the workshop on the framework for various approaches’ (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/INF.11) summarizes the discussions and outcomes of the workshop on the framework for various approaches held on 9 October 2013, in Bonn, Germany. The ‘Report on the workshop on non-market-based approaches’ (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/INF.12) summarizes the discussions and outcomes of the workshop on non-market-based approaches held on 7 October 2013, in Bonn, Germany. The ‘Report on the workshop on the new market-based mechanism’ (FCCC/SBSTA/2013/INF.13) summarizes the discussions and outcomes of the workshop on the new market-based mechanism that was held on 8 October 2013, in Bonn, Germany. The three reports contain summaries of the presentations made and the outcomes of the discussions that took place at the three workshops, which were held back-to-back.
