UNFCCC Publishes SBI Submissions from Argentina and the UK

2 December 2010: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published two submissions from Argentina and the UK (FCCC/SBI/2010/MISC.11 and 12) under the Subsidiary Body on Implementation (SBI) regarding the sovereignty of the Malvinas/Falkland Islands.

In its submission, Argentina rejects the inclusion of the Malvinas, South Georgias and South Sandwich Islands submitted by the UK in relation to the current session of the SBI. The UK reiterates its sovereignty over the Falkland Islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands and their surrounding maritime areas.
