October 2013: The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) International Environmental Technology Centre (IETC) has announced the appointment of a new Director: Surendra Shrestha of Nepal.

Shrestha succeeds Matthew Gubb in the Director post.

Shrestha previously served as Special Advisor and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Focal Point in New York, US. He also has held senior positions at the Asian Institute of Technology and the International Centre for Integrated Mountain Development (ICIMOD). [UNEP IETC Newsletter]
