3 December 2010: The first issue of the biweekly newsletter of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development (UNCSD) was published on 3 December 2010. Titled “Rio20: Making it Happen,” the newsletter lists recent and upcoming intergovernmental meetings related to UNCSD preparations, as well as recently published documents.

The first issue also recalls that the Conference Secretary-General, Sha Zukang, called on member States, foundations and other donors to contribute to the Trust Fund for the Conference, and indicates that each intersessional and preparatory meeting is expected to cost over US$1 million on average in travel alone to ensure adequate participation from developing countries.
