The UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation has held its sixth meeting, focusing on topics related to Africa, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the series of actions presented by the Board during the 4th World Water Forum.

The Board was created in 2004 by UN Secretary-general Kofi Annan and is intended to galvanize global action on water and sanitation issues, which are widely regarded as central to the world’s hopes of eradicating poverty and achieving sustainable development. The Board’s sixth meeting was held in Paris, France, from 10-11 July 2006.
