The Secretariat of the Rotterdam Convention has recently organized two meetings: the Near East Subregional Meeting of the Rotterdam Convention (21-24 May 2006 in Muscat Sultanate, Oman) and the National Consultation on the Ratification and Implementation of the Rotterdam Convention (23-26 May 2006, Hanoi, Vietnam).
The major focus of both these meetings was the ratification and implementation of the Convention, particularly the main obligations under the Convention.
