Proposed Agenda for CDM EB-57 Released

The CDM Executive Board is to consider accreditation of operational entities, methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans, the CDM appeals procedure, the CDM management plan, and resources for the work on the CDM.

30 September 2010: The proposed agenda, annotated agenda and draft work programme for the 57th meeting of the Executive Board of the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM), scheduled to take place from 12-14 October 2010, in Bonn, Germany, are now available on the CDM website.

At the meeting, the Executive Board will consider matters relating to the operation of the CDM, including: the accreditation of operational entities; methodologies for baselines and monitoring plans; the CDM appeals procedure; and the CDM management plan and resources for the work on the CDM. On matters relating to operational entities, the Board will consider a summary of public inputs received regarding the liability of Designated Operational Entities (DOEs) for excess issuance of certified emission reductions (CERs), with a view to making a recommendation to the sixth session of Conference of the Parties serving as the meeting of the Parties to the Kyoto Protocol (COP/MOP 6), if necessary. Regarding the CDM appeals procedure, the Board will consider for approval the “Procedure for appeals against adverse rulings by the CDM Executive Board regarding requests for registration or issuance,” with a view to making a recommendation to COP/MOP 6. The Board will also consider for adoption the draft annual report of the Board to the COP/MOP. The various annexes to be considered by the Board at the meeting are also available on the website.
