Pacific Acknowledges Energy as Key Driver for Economic Growth at 41st CRGA Meeting

According to SPC, CRGA also reaffirmed its support to the energy, ICT and transport services delivered by SPC's Economic Development Division, established in January 2010 under the Regional Institutional Framework.

CRGA 41 endorsed the division's strategic plan for the period 2012–2017 and approved the proposed work programme for 2012.

7 November 2011: The 41st Meeting of the Committee of Representatives of Governments and Administrations (CRGA), which was convened in Noumea, New Caledonia, by the Secretariat of the Pacific Community, identified three key drivers of economic growth in the Pacific region: energy, information and communication technology (ICT) and transport.

According to SPC, delegates at the 1-4 November 2011 meeting of the CRGA also reaffirmed their support to the energy, ICT and transport services delivered by SPC’s Economic Development Division, established in January 2010 under the Regional Institutional Framework.
