The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGR) Secretariat has circulated the final report of the fifth session of the ITPGR Governing Body (GB 5), held from 24-28 September 2013, in Muscat, Oman, and has announced that Sri Lanka has ratified the Treaty, bringing the total number of Parties to 131.
January 2014: The International Treaty on Plant Genetic Resources for Food and Agriculture (ITPGR) Secretariat has circulated the final report of the fifth session of the ITPGR Governing Body (GB 5), which convened from 24-28 September 2013, in Muscat, Oman, and has announced that Sri Lanka has ratified the Treaty, bringing the total number of Parties to 131.
The GB 5 report includes an overview of the proceedings and outcomes on each agenda item; the adopted resolutions; the Muscat Ministerial Declaration on the Treaty, adopted at the ministerial meeting held immediately before (GB 5); reports from the second and third high-level roundtables, held in June 2012 and June 2013 respectively; and the list of GB 5 participants.
