IPPC Prepares for Meeting of Commission on Phytosanitary Measures

In preparation for the seventh session of the Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM 7), the IPPC Secretariat is asking Parties to comment on draft International Standards on Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs) and invites submissions for poster presentations and side events.
The provisional agenda, and reports and background documentation, also are available.
January 2012: The Secretariat of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) has published a number of documents in preparation for the seventh session of Commission on Phytosanitary Measures (CPM), the IPPC’s Governing Body, including a call for comments on draft International Standards on Phytosanitary Measures (ISPMs).
The IPPC Secretariat informed Parties that the draft ISPMs to be considered at CPM 7 are available on the IPPC’s Online Comment System (OCM). Parties are encouraged to provide comments through the OCM by 4 March 2012.
The Secretariat further invites Parties, governments, UN agencies, inter-governmental, non-governmental, regional and international organizations to present a poster, hold and exhibit or host a side event during CPM 7. The Secretariat also published the provisional agenda, and reports and background documentation on various agenda items.
