August 2011: The Indian Ocean-South-East Asian Marine Turtle Memorandum of Association (IOSEA) August e-Newsletter highlights: the first-ever national marine turtle workshop held in Madagascar; Madagascar’s “Marine Conservation Roadshow”; and the fourth annual report on “Monitoring, tagging and conservation of marine turtles in Mozambique.”

The newsletter also announces the dates for the Sixth Meeting of the signatory States to the IOSEA, which will be held in Bangkok, Thailand, from 6-9 December 2011. The meeting is supported by a grant from the Marine Turtle Conservation Fund, administered by the US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) and a pledge from the French Ministry of Ecology (MEDDTL).
