The UN Environment Programme (UNEP) and Government of Sweden, with the support of the Government of Japan, hosted a meeting from 9-12 February 2009, in Geneva, Switzerland, to discuss stakeholders’ information needs related to chemicals in articles and products.

The workshop recommended that a working group take up this issue intersessionally between the second International Conference on Chemicals Management (ICCM-2) and ICCM-3. The recommendation will be considered by ICCM-2, which is scheduled to convene in May 2009 (IISD RS sources).
