India’s Environment Minister Announces Key Issues for CBD COP-11 High-level Segment

1 August 2011: Highlighting that the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) stands apart as the only environmental convention “at the heart of human well-being,” Jayanthi Natarajan, Minister of Environment and Forests of India, host of the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 11), identified five key issues for COP 11’s High-level Segment.

COP 11 will take place from 8-19 October 2012, in Hyderabad, India, with the High-level Segment held in the last three days.
