IDB Supports the Development of Carbon Projects in Mexico

The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) will finance a project in Mexico to improve access to carbon markets through Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and Programme of Activities (PoA) projects.

IDB12 July 2012: The Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) approved a US$ 800,000 project to support carbon market projects in Mexico.

The project will focus on developing national structures to maximize the benefits of the carbon markets in Mexico, supporting national capacities for the structuring of mitigation projects, mainly under the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) and the design and implementation of Program of Activities (PoAs).
