Participants to this closed meeting addressed, inter alia: key global challenges that could guide the global Strategic Directions of the Regional Seas for the next four years (2008-2012); approaches to mainstream the Regional Seas into national development planning and budgeting; the implementation of the current global Strategic Directions (2004-2007); and the focus of the next global Strategic Directions (2008-2012).
