25 November 2014: The UNFCCC Secretariat has published the status of Global Environment Facility (GEF) project activities related to non-Annex I parties’ national communications (NCs) and biennial update reports (BURs), as provided by the GEF (FCCC/SBI/2014/INF.22). The information, which was requested by the Subsidiary Body for Implementation (SBI), includes the dates funding was approved and disbursed, and the approximate date of the NC or BUR submission.

The document displays the information in two tables: ‘Status of National Communications from Parties Not Included in Annex I to the Convention’ and ‘Status Resources Approved by the GEF Secretariat from Parties Not Included in Annex I for the Preparation of Biennial Update Reports,’ contained in Annex I and Annex II, respectively.

The information contained in the report was obtained from the UN Development Programme (UNDP) and the UN Environment Programme (UNEP), which are the implementing agencies for these NC and BUR activities.
