FAO Releases Pulp and Paper Projections

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) released the 2012 – 2017 survey of global pulp and paper capacities with information organized by country and grade.

Overall, the survey covers 37 countries which together account for about 90 per cent of global pulp and paper production.

FAO29 July 2013: The Food and Agriculture Organization of the UN (FAO) released the 2012-2017 survey of global pulp and paper capacities with information organized by country and grade. Overall, the survey covers 37 countries which together account for about 90 per cent of global pulp and paper production.

The survey, based on information provided by pulp and paper associations and companies throughout the world, is the latest in a series that began with the 1968-1973 edition. Included in the survey is information on wood pulp and pulp from other fibers for paper and board as well as dissolving pulp. The survey also reports on paper and paperboard production.
