(UNECE, April 2006) At its seventh meeting, which took place from 10-11 April 2006 in Geneva, the Joint Expert Group on Water and Industrial Accidents adopted draft safety guidelines/good practices for pipelines.

The Group is a body under the auspices of the Conference of the Parties to the Convention on the Transboundary Effects of Industrial Accidents and the Meeting of the Parties to the Convention on the Protection and Use of Transboundary Watercourses and International Lakes. The draft guidelines will be submitted for adoption to the Conference of the Parties to the Industrial Accidents Convention (Rome, 15-17 November 2006) and to the Meeting of the Parties to the Water Convention (Bonn, 20-22 November 2006).
