CEPA Fair Announced for CBD COP 11, Showcase Submissions Invited

The third Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) Fair will be held on the margins of the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties to the CBD, to be held from 8-19 October 2012, in Hyderabad, India, and will include two components: exhibition of materials for the UN Decade on Biodiversity; and side events focusing on CEPA as a tool in support of the Strategic Plan and the UN Decade on Biodiversity.

CBD15 February 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) announced that the third Communication, Education and Public Awareness (CEPA) Fair will take place on the margins of the 11th meeting of the Conference of the Parties (COP 11) to the CBD. The Fair will include two components: exhibition of materials for the UN Decade on Biodiversity; and side events focusing on CEPA as a tool in support of the Strategic Plan for Biodiversity 2011-2020 and the UN Decade on Biodiversity.

COP 11 will be held from 8-19 October 2012, in Hyderabad, India. The Secretariat invites Parties and organizations to register their interest in showcasing CEPA projects and activities by 1 June 2012.

The CEPA Fair provides an opportunity for Parties and organizations to highlight their work and its contribution to the implementation of the three CBD objectives. In addition, this year’s Fair offers a platform for highlighting activities and celebrations in support of the UN Decade on Biodiversity 2011-2020. [CBD Notification]
