CBD Secretariat Issues Quarterly Report of Convention

The report contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties (COP) and other relevant matters covering the period from 1 July to 30 September 2011.

CBD16 November 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has published the 54th issue of the Quarterly Report on the Administration of the Convention, covering the period from 1 July-30 September 2011.

The report contains a summary of key activities in implementing the decisions of the Conference of the Parties (COP) and other relevant matters during this period. It contains, among others: information on meetings organized by the CBD Secretariat; progress with regard to implementation of the decisions of the fifth meeting of the COP serving as the Meeting of the Parties (COP/MOP 5) to the Cartagena Protocol on Biosafety; and progress with regard to activities requested by the COP on the agenda items of its 10th meeting (COP 10), including: scientific, technical and technological matters; access and benefit-sharing (ABS); social, economic and legal matters; outreach and major groups; and implementation and technical support.
