The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited parties and relevant organizations to submit proposals for new and emerging issues to be considered by the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA).

19 January 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has invited parties and relevant organizations to submit proposals for new and emerging issues to be considered by the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice (SBSTTA).

The deadline for submissions is 15 October 2011.

In addition, the CBD Secretariat has invited submission of information on synthetic biology and geo-engineering, while applying the precautionary approach to the field release of synthetic life, cell or genome into the environment; and on the impact of ground-level ozone on biodiversity.
