CBD Secretariat Circulates Agenda of ABS Intergovernmental Committee Meeting

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated the agenda of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS) to the CBD, to be held from 6-10 June 2011, in Montreal, Canada.

6 January 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated the agenda of the first meeting of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS) to the CBD.

The meeting will be held from 6-10 June 2011, in Montreal, Canada. Its agenda includes issues related to capacity building, awareness-raising and compliance procedures. It will be preceded by a capacity-building workshop on the Nagoya Protocol, organized by the CBD Secretariat, held from 4-5 June 2011. [The Notification]
