CBD Circulates Draft Analysis of Technology Transfer-Related Activities

The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated for review the first draft of an analysis of information received by parties and relevant organizations on activities supporting technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation of relevance to the CBD.

Comments and suggestions for amendments should be submitted to the CBD Secretariat by 19 March 2012.

CBD22 February 2012: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated for review the first draft of an analysis of information received by parties and relevant organizations on activities supporting technology transfer and scientific and technological cooperation of relevance to the CBD, further including the identification of gaps and opportunities to fill these gaps and/or promote synergies.

The work undertaken by the Secretariat can be found in a searchable database under the CBD clearing-house mechanism, containing the information identified, as well as a document on the research methodology and an offline compilation of the information identified. The offline compilation, together with the final analysis, will be submitted for consideration by the CBD Conference of the Parties (COP) at its eleventh meeting, to be held from 8-19 October 2012, in Hyderabad, India.
