story highlights

The UN Secretary-General has effected a series of corrections to the French translation of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS), following a period allowing for objections to the proposed corrections.

27 June 2011: The Secretariat of the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) has circulated a notification received by the UN Secretary-General, acting as depository of the Convention, regarding a list of corrections to the French version of the original text of the Nagoya Protocol on Access to Genetic Resources and the Fair and Equitable Sharing of Benefits Arising from their Utilization (ABS).

The Secretary-General issued the notification on 16 June 2011, which was the deadline for submission of objections to proposed corrections.
