CANARI Releases Inaugural Newsletter on CEPF

Vincent and the Grenadines); CEPF grant approvals from June 2010-June 2012; stakeholder engagement in Haiti; and the development of a regional mentor program.

July 2012: The Caribbean Natural Resources Institute (CANARI) has released the first issue of its quarterly newsletter for the Critical Ecosystem Partnership Fund (CEPF) in the Caribbean islands, titled “Capacité.” The newsletter provides information on CANARI’s work in the region, and shares lessons learned and best practices from CEPF-supported projects and related initiatives.

The newsletter includes articles on: the role of the CEPF in participating countries (Antigua and Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, and Saint Vincent and the Grenadines); CEPF grant approvals from June 2010-June 2012; stakeholder engagement in Haiti; and the development of a regional mentor program. The newsletter also includes a call for proposals for small and large grants for the implementation of biodiversity conservation projects in CEPF participating countries.
