June 2006: Caribbean environment and sustainable development officials have gathered in Antigua during the first week of June to discuss the implementation of an “Integrating Watershed and Coastal Areas Management” (IWCAM) project for 13 Caribbean Small Island Developing States (SIDS).

The IWCAM project seeks to enhance the participating countries’ capacity to plan and manage their aquatic resources and ecosystems sustainably. Funding for the US$23 million project has been provided by the Global Environment Facility (GEF) and several collaborating agencies.
