The World Education Forum is being organized in response to the call of the Brazilian Civil Society Facilitator Committee, urging civil society, organizations and social movements from all over the world to participate in the preparatory process for the People’s Summit for Sustainable Development – Rio +20. The aim of the Forum is to bring together the different social sectors of the educational community and civil society organizations to develop solutions or alternatives for the sustainability issues and other important issues concerning a more just society.
