Peru's Ministry of Energy and Mines (Minem) and the UN Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC), with support from German Cooperation (GIZ), are co-organizing the fifth regional political dialogue on energy efficiency around the theme 'Energy Efficiency Markets'. Held annually since 2010, the Dialogues seek to foster political interchange on consolidating horizontal and international cooperation on energy efficiency in the region, as well as to identify best practice in the design of policies on rational and sustainable energy use.
