UNEA-4 Leadership Dialogue 1: Environmental Challenges Related to Poverty and Natural Resources Management

The high-level segment (HLS) on the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly (UNEA-4) will include three interactive Leadership Dialogues, taking place on 14 and 15 March, on issues of relevance to the theme of the Assembly, ‘Innovative Solutions for Environmental Challenges and Sustainable Consumption and Production’.

The first Dialogue will address environmental challenges related to poverty and natural resources management, including sustainable food systems, food security and halting biodiversity loss. The UN Environment Management Group’s (EMG) Nexus Dialogue on the theme, ‘Sustainable Food Systems: Ensuring Food Security for Future Generations,’ taking place on 12 March, will provide input to this Leadership Dialogue.

UNEA-4 convenes in Nairobi, Kenya, from 11-15 March 2019.
