This conference will be held in conjunction with the International Year of Planet Earth, and is jointly organized by the Institute of Ocean and Earth Sciences, the University of Malaya, the National Oceanography Directorate, the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, Malaysia, and the Malaysian Society of Marine Sciences.
