The New York Office of the UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), in collaboration with the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC), is organizing this workshop as part of the UNITAR Rio Preparation Forum (RPF). The workshop will feature two roundtable sessions: the first session will present the variety of discourses on sustainable development, with a specific focus on an intergovernmental Islamic view of sustainable development; and the second session will focus on the ethics of sustainable development, gathering representatives of different faiths focusing on this issue.
