Rights, Governance and Climate Change Workshop

The workshop on Rights, Governance and Climate Change will take place on the sidelines of the 19th session of the Conference of the Parties (COP 19) to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). It will examine the use of substantive and procedural rights to design, implement and support effective, equitable solutions to address climate change and related governance challenges. The workshop is expected to result in proposals for research and collaborative projects on the relationship between rights, governance and climate change. The UN Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) and Yale University's Governance, Environment and Markets Initiative (GEM) are organizing the workshop in collaboration with the University of Warsaw's Faculty of Law and Administration and the Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL).
