Organized by the NEPAD-FAO Fish Programme (NFFP), on a suggestion made at the 16th Session of the Committee for Inland Fisheries and Aquaculture of Africa (CIFAA) to assess the CIFAA's role as a Regional Fishery Body (RFB), delegates will review the issues, constraints and opportunities for CIFAA, discuss possible solutions to contraints on CIFAA's effectiveness, identify key areas for CIFAA, and recommend future steps to be taken.
