The Overseas Development Institute (ODI) and the Asian Development Bank Institute (ADBI) are hosting this interactive event on green growth and regional cooperation in Asia. Panelists will discuss the implications of Asia’s transformation away from a traditional, export-led growth model on public and private investment on inclusive green growth. Panelists also are expected to consider: how Asia can simultaneously reduce poverty, increase productivity and growth and adapt to a low-carbon, green growth strategy; and how Asian policymakers can create enabling conditions to raise investment spending and private consumption to re-balance economies towards domestic and regional-led growth. Finally, this event will showcase key findings from an ADBI publication, “Low-Carbon, Green Growth in Asia: Polices and Practices”.
